About The Lexus UX Hybrid
Shopping for a smaller vehicle that is also comfortable and well-appointed can be a difficult task. The dynamic Lexus UX Hybrid is here to prove that not only can it be done, it can be done well and with a generous helping of style. With its hybrid drivetrain, the UX Hybrid also comes with excellent fuel efficiency as well as peppy low-end power that makes for smooth city driving that won’t empty your fuel tank. All-wheel drive is available for tackling nasty winter weather and the UX Hybrid comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of safety and driver’s aid technology. From the outside, the UX Hybrid sets itself apart with bold styling and upscale touches like 18-inch wheels and all-LED exterior lighting. Inside, you’ll find a luxurious interior made with high-quality materials. There are two premium stereo options and an available 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that makes it easy to enjoy your favorite multimedia functions. But the biggest strength of the UX Hybrid is that it’s a city-sized vehicle that is just as comfortable on long highway trips, a very rare thing indeed.
What the Critics Say
“The Lexus UX is the most fuel-efficient luxury SUV on the market. It’s also the least expensive and boasts exceptional resale value. In short, the UX is kind to your wallet when you buy it, when you fill it up, and when you sell it.” – Kelley Blue Book
“The UX is nimble and maneuverable thanks to its small size, and it provides a surprisingly plush and quiet ride. The adaptive dampers available on the F Sport Handling model are a nice add-on, offering a range of adjustments to either soften or firm up the suspension depending on what kind of driving you’re doing.” – Car and Driver
What's New For 2025
Performance upgrades capture most of the headlines surrounding changes to the dynamic Lexus UX Hybrid for the 2025 model year. Last year’s 250h models have been replaced by a more powerful 300h model that boasts an improved 196 combined system horsepower. This powertrain also features a new lithium-ion battery pack as well. Other new features include the arrival of an optional larger digital gauge cluster, improved driver assistance tech, and a new Copper Crest exterior paint choice for the UX Hybrid.
Lexus UX Hybrid Features
Practicality And Utility
Practicality is the key to a good crossover and the Lexus UX Hybrid sets a high bar in this area. Its power liftgate with available hands-free operation along with its standard split-folding back seat make it easy to load and unload cargo. Its impressive 34.2-foot turning circle makes the UX Hybrid one of the most maneuverable models in its class. The hybrid drivetrain in the UX Hybrid is another important feature since city driving can take a toll on mileage ratings - even in smaller vehicles. That isn’t a problem with the UX Hybrid which gets up to 45 MPG city and 41 MPG highway** while still being able to deliver 196 total system horsepower. When it comes to hybrid drivetrains, many of the vehicles equipped with them aren’t available with all-wheel drive – especially smaller vehicles. AWD is available as an option for the UX Hybrid and on any trim.
Luxurious Interior
Settle into the eight-way power-adjustable seats upholstered in soft NuLuxe® and you’ll immediately see that the Lexus UX Hybrid is no ordinary city vehicle. These seats, which are available with heating and ventilation for personalized comfort, are surrounded by high-quality materials and the latest in tech. A Lexus six-speaker Premium Sound System comes standard while a 10-speaker version is available and standard on the UX 250h F-SPORT Handling trim. With this comes the Lexus Interface system which is controlled using either a standard 8-inch touchscreen or an available 12.3-inch unit. Whichever one of these you choose, wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration comes standard. Advanced safety features are another thing luxury vehicle buyers look for when shopping and just like the rest of the Lexus lineup, the UX Hybrid delivers on this promise. The UX Hybrid comes with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of safety and driver aid systems. This includes Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Intelligent High Beams.
Eye-Catching Design
Looking at the UX Hybrid, it’s easy to see how well the design language from bigger Lexus models works on a smaller vehicle. This includes its all-LED external lighting that comes standard which the UX Hybrid shows off with signature Lexus daytime running lights. For an extra touch of style, the UX Hybrid has standard 18-inch wheels even though those usually come at an extra cost if they’re available at all in this segment. Additionally, special F-SPORT wheels are standard on F-SPORT trims. Other F-SPORT styling touches include unique front and rear bumpers, a black roof, and black roof rails. Inside, you have the option of a perforated leather-trimmed F-SPORT steering wheel and shift knob (standard versions are also leather-trimmed, but not perforated), as well as F-SPORT bolstered front seats. Aluminum pedals and front aluminum door-sill scuff panels round out the F-SPORT look with a bit of extra flair for the Lexus UX Hybrid.
